Outside this time there is plenty to see, the open nature of the terrain makes it easy to spot large prides of lion and many of Africa’s other wildlife.

Ngorongoro Crater is a massive volcanic caldera, at its base you will find a mix of grassland, lakes, forest inhabited by plentiful game. This is a real ‘must see’ on any visitors itinerary and definitely not to be missed.

Lake Manyara sits at the end of the Great Rift Valley and is one of Tanzania’s smaller National Parks. The terrain is quite bushy in contrast to other regions but the profusion of wildlife is really excellent. Large flocks of flamingos come to the lake to feed and the sight of large flock of these pink birds is really quite remarkable. Tarangire National Park is famed for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant population.
