Day 1 Depart from Cape Town along the scenic Route 62 through the town of Montagu and visiting the pretty farming community of Barrydale. Enjoy a tour of a working ostrich farm at Oudtshoorn before your overnight stop there.

Day 2 This morning go underground to marvel at the icy formations in the Cango Caves, one of South Africa’s most spectacular natural wonders. Travel through the impressive Outeniqua Pass and magnificent forest and mountain scenery as you head to your overnight stop at Knysna where you take a cruise on the lagoon. Spend two nights in Plettenberg Bay.

Day 3 After breakfast, visit Knysna Elephant Park where you can interact with these gentle giants. In the afternoon, visit Birds of Eden – the largest free-flight bird aviary in the world. 

Day 4  Travel along the final leg of the Garden Route to the beautiful Tsitsikamma National Park. Enjoy a walk along the suspension bridge across the Storms River mouth gorge which offers incredible views and photo opportunities. The Garden Route and your journey ends at Port Elizabeth you might like to extend your tour to one of our exciting game lodges on the Eastern Cape.
