Important Information
Our prices include: Unlimited kilometres, vehicle theft and collision damage insurance and third party liability (nil excess).
Not included in the prices: Delivery (ZAR 250) and one way fees, tyre, wheel, windscreen and underbody or water damage, fuel and optional extras such as baby seats and booster seats. All extras are payable locally.
Car types are subject to availability, Europcar reserves the right to substitute any model with a similar model if necessary.
Terms and Conditions
Driver Qualifications; Drivers must be a minimum of 23 years of age and have held a valid driving licence for at least one year. Additional drivers are charged at ZAR 230 per driver, per rental. Drivers under the age of 23 must have held a licence for at least 2 years; young driver surcharge of ZAR 180 charged per driver, per day.
The Rental: When taking delivery of your car, you will be asked to sign Europcar’s standard terms and conditions of hire making the rental subject to a direct contract between each driver and the car hire company. A credit card bond will be taken to cover additional costs such as fuel, damage and optional services.
Restrictions and one way rentals: One way drop off fees apply to any drop off which is more than 150 kms from the pick up location, this is a standard charge for all of South Africa at a cost of ZAR 600 which is payable locally. Between George, Plettenberg Bay and Kynsna a cost of ZAR 160 applies. One way rentals between South Africa and other countries are not permitted. One way drop off fees in Namibia from N$1800 depending on drop off location.
Satellite Navigation
To help you find your way around South Africa, Europcar offers satellite navigation from ZAR 79 per day at all its city locations. Sat. Nav. must be requested at the time of booking and should be paid for locally.
