Battlefields & Zulu Culture - 4 days from Durban

This unique self drive explorer will give you an insight into the culture and history of KwaZulu Natal. Your first overnight stay is just three hours north of Durban at the Shakaland Cultural Village, a traditional Zulu dwelling place where you experience the day-to-day life of the indigenous people.

The next two nights is at The Royal Country Inn just a 45 minute drive from the Battlefields. You will not fail to be moved by tales of the bloody conflict of the Anglo-Zulu wars of the latter part of the 19th century as you enjoy a full day tour led by an expert guide. It includes a visit to Rorke’s Drift where you will hear tales of bravery on both sides and learn about the battle of Islandlwana.
