Day 1 Cape Town
Upon arrival in Cape Town, transfer to your hotel for the rest of the day to explore the city at your own pace.

Day 2 Cape Town
Over the following three days experience the best of the city and region with an afternoon tour of buzzing Cape Town and full days spent out exploring the famous winelands to sample some of the excellent produce and to see the beautiful coastal scenery of the cape peninsular including the delightful penguins at Boulders Beach.

Day 5 Oudtshoorn & Knysna
Depart Cape Town and travel along Route 62 to Oudtshoorn - the 'feather capital' of the world where a visit will be made to a working ostrich farm, before checking into your hotel ready for dinner.

Overnight at Surval Boutique Olive Estate

The next day enjoy a morning tour of the Cango Caves with its eerie rock formations, before continuing to the picturesque lagoon side town of Knysna - the gem of the Garden Route. After some free time in the Waterfront area, embark on a scenic cruise up the Keurbooms River, before arriving at your hotel for a two night stay.

Day 7 Plettenberg Bay region
After breakfast, visit Birds of Eden - the largest free-flight bird aviary in the world, before proceeding to Bramon Wine Estate for a tasting followed by lunch (own account). Return to your hotel for some time at leisure this afternoon.

Day 8 Tsitsikamma & Port Elizabeth
Today journey along the final leg of the Garden Route to the beautiful Tsitsikamma National Park to enjoy a walk along the suspension bridge across the Storms River mouth. Take in the incredible views before continuing onto Port Elizabeth for the night.

Overnight at Radisson Blu Port Elizabeth

Day 9 Johannesburg
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg, the 'City of Gold' where this afternoon you will explore the city sights including the up and coming Maboneng Precinct.

The next day reflect on past troubles from the Apartheid era with a visit to Soweto township to see Nelson Mandela's former house, followed by a visit to the excellent but thought provoking Apartheid Museum after lunch.  

Overnight at Protea Hotel Balalaika

Day 11 Panorama Route & Hazyview
Today head for the Kruger region travelling via the scenic Panorama Route with a stop if time at God's Window. Tonight check in to your hotel in the town of Hazyview in time for dinner.

Overnight at Perry's Bridge Hollow

Day 12 Kruger region
After breakfast, begin your African safari experience by heading to the Kruger. Over these two days, track the parks unrivalled selection of wildlife including the Big 5 in open 4WD vehicles accompanied by an experienced guide. You will stay in characterful safari accommodation in the Kruger region. 

Overnight at Moditlo River Lodge

Day 14 Kruger & Farewell
There may be time this morning for a final game drive, before transferring to Hoedspruit airport for your onward flight.
