Thanda - Main Lodge
In the North East of Kwazulu-Natal, not far from Hluhuwe, lies the 14000ha private game reserve of Thanda. Once marginal grazing land, this beautiful hilly landscape has been turned into a thriving game reserve where the big 5 now roam. Game drives are accompanied by expert trackers who ensure the best animal sightings – perhaps a pack of wild dogs, the endangered black rhino or a cheetah to name a few!
Fifteen minutes drive from the Tented Camp, Main lodge is fenced and ideal for families and couples alike. Built in a circular shape to imitate a traditional Zulu kraal, the lodge blends into the hillside to offer discreet opulence.
Accommodation Scattered over the hillside, villas offer a separate lounge area with fireplace, thatched outdoor viewing deck with plunge pool, Boma for private dining, and ensuite bathroom with large bathtub and outdoor shower.
Facilities lounge, library, choice of dining venue and cigar bar. Children are catered for with a Junior ranger club.
Price includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, selected drinks and game activities.
