D'Ouwe Werf - Stellenbosch
Opened in 1802 this is South Africa’s oldest and most historic hotel and is located right in the heart of Stellenbosch. Sympathetically restored by the owners you will find beautiful antique furniture and pretty vine covered gardens. There area whole selection of interesting shops right on your doorstep and some really excellent restaurants too serving some great local produce. There are wineries just a short drive away along with golf courses and lots of wonderful Cape Dutch architecture to admire.
