No visit to Cape Town would be complete without a trip by cable car to the top of Table Mountain. The views over the surrounding area are simply sublime on a clear day you can see Robben Island and the Cape Peninsula.

Further afield consider visiting the Cape Winelands just a short distance from the city centre and set in simply glorious countryside. Hermanus is within easy reach and may give you the opportunity to view whales who visit these shores at certain times of year.
