Day 1 - Relax on an overnight flight from the UK with meals, drinks and complimentary in-flight entertainment.
Day 2 - When you arrive in Cape Town you’ll be met by our representative and transferred to the Garden Court De Waal for a three night stay. The hotel is located in the Gardens district of the city, close to shops and restaurants and Company Gardens and just a few minute’s drive from the Waterfront.
Spend your time exploring the ‘Mother City’, take in the views from Table Mountain or take a trip to Robben Island, the famous prison where Nelson Mandela spent many years in captivity.
Day 5 - Joint your small group tour along the Garden Route, leaving Cape Town along the scenic Route 62 through the town of Montagu and visiting the pretty farming community of Barrydale. Enjoy a tour of a working ostrich farm at Oudtshoorn before your overnight stop there.
Day 6 -This morning go underground to marvel at the icy formations in the Cango Caves, one of South Africa’s most spectacular natural wonders. Travel through the impressive Outeniqua Pass and magnificent forest and mountain scenery before arriving at Knysna for a magical cruise on the lagoon. Spend two nights at Hog Hollow in Plettenberg Bay.
Day 7 - After breakfast, visit the Elephant Sanctuary, where you can interact with these gentle giants. In the afternoon visit Birds of Eden, the largest free-flight bird aviary in the world.
Day 8 - Continue along the Garden Route to the beautiful Tsitsikamma National Park for a walk over the suspension bridge over Storms River Mouth Gorge for some incredible views. Say farewell to your touring companions in Port Elizabeth and enjoy a relaxing stay in the charming Beach Hotel.
Day 9 - This morning you’ll be collected from your hotel for the journey to Kariega Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape for your three night stay. This is a private, malaria free reserve incorporating the Kariega and Bushman Rivers, with plenty of game and superb lodge style accommodation.
Included in your stay are morning and afternoon game drives, river cruises, canoeing, as well as all your meals. Your ranger guide will take you out on game drives in open vehicles in search of lion, elephant, giraffe, hippo and much, much more.
Day 12 - Say goodbye to Kariega as you are transferred back to Port Elizabeth airport for your flight back to the UK.
