NAMIBIAN ADVENTURE - 10 DAY SELF DRIVE FROM WINDHOEK

Combine the best of our two Namibia self drive tours in a spectacular journey around this beautiful African country.

Day 1 – to the Kalahari Desert (320 km)
Head south from Windhoek towards the vast plains of the Western Kalahari. Along the way pass by the settlement of Rehoboth and its Baster Community who are descendent of the first settlers to the area. Overnight at Intu Africa Tented Camp, including dinner and excursions.

Day 2 - to Sossusvlei for 2 nights (310 km)
After visiting a local Bushman community, journey east towards Sesriem and the Namib Naukluft National Park. A two night stay at The Desert Homestead Lodge provides an opportunityto explore the Tshaub Valley and the famous Sossusvlei sand dunes. Overnight at The Desert Homestead.

Day 4 - to Swakopmund for 2 nights (370 km)
Enjoy the desert and mountain scenery as you drive via Gaub and Kuiseb Canyons towards the coastal resorts of Walvis Bay and Swakopmund. The temperature here is cooler than the interior. There's time to relax or explore the historic port, established by the Germans as a colonial outpost in 1892. Overnight at The Stiltz Hotel.

Day 6 – to the Skeleton Coast (400 km)
Travel northwards along the Skeleton Coast, so named because of the treacherous nature of the waters. Enjoy the wonderful scenery along the way before heading inland past the Brandberg Mountain and onwards to Damaraland. Overnight at Dora Nawas Lodge.

Day 7 – to Etosha National Park  for 2 nights (420 km)
Explore Etosha National Park with its abundant wildlife, it’s home to all manner of African beasts including white and black rhino, giraffe and elephant. Overnight at Okaukeujo Resort 1 night and Onguma Bush Camp 1 night.

Day 9 – to Okonjima (250 km)

Drive via the garden town of Otijiwarongo to Okonjima which is part of the Africat Foundation where you can see lion, leopard and cheetah up close. Overnight Okonijima Main Camp.

Day 10 – to Windhoek (320 km)
Discover the town of Okojima with its wartime military history before completing your tour in Winhoek. Explore the capital or ask your consultant to extend your stay here.
