Flamingo Bay Water Lodge

This lovely lodge is located in the pristine tidal bay of Inhambane around 500km north of Maputo, the capital of Mozambique. It sits on stilts over the crystal clear waters of the warm Indian Ocean. This eco-paradise is home to flocks of flamingo’s, tropical fish and the very rare dugong.

The sunsets at Flamingo Bay are simply breathtaking and are best watched with a glass of something cold! The warm Indian Ocean offer safe bathing all year round and the endless wide open beaches are perfect for long walks.

Pestana Bazaruto

The lodge sits on Bazaruto island the largest in the archipelago and is surrounded by pristine beaches, sparkling blue water and lush tropical gardens. Snorkelling and diving in these clear waters is really excellent and you may be lucky enough to see dugongs, humpback whales, dolphins and marine turtles.

The hotel was recently renovated and offers high standards in accommodation and service. There’s plenty to do including boat trips by traditional dhow, bird watching, fishing and water skiing.

Accommodation – The rooms are in thatched bungalows attractive set throughout the grounds, many with ocean views. They are all air conditioned and have outside terrace, ceiling fan, tea and coffee making facilities.

Marlin Lodge

This intimate lodge sits on beautiful Benguera Island approximately 20 minutes by speedboat from the mainland. Its delightful chalets occupy a perfect position along the beachfront. Surrounded by powder soft white sand and lapped by the Indian Ocean the setting is possibly as close to perfect as you can get. Spend your days relaxing in the sun, snorkelling or diving, perhaps even head out big game fishing. Marlin Lodge is ideal for honeymooners the secluded chalets are a magical escape from everyday life.

Accommodation – The chalets are set on stilts close to the beach and all have private terrace, air conditioning, ceiling fan and access to the beach. Deluxe rooms are larger and have private walkway to the beach. 

Facilities – There is a restaurant and bar, swimming pool, spa treatment centre, plus a dive centre and big game fishing. The lodge will also organise tours around the island or visits to the local community.
 

Indigo Bay

This is a lovely resort on Bazaruto Island reached by short scenic flight from Vilanculos. The gorgeous gardens and stretch of sandy beach make for a most fabulous island escape. The diving here is really excellent due to the clarity of the water and abundance of marine life. Whether you are looking for relaxation on a sandy beach or for a more active holiday you’ll find that this fits the bill.
